American Business, American Families

by | Feb 17, 2023 | Company Information

American Made products do more than just support local economies, they support American families. Over 50 years ago, one American family started a business out of their garage due to the cost of paying expensive tickets for having illegal WIDE LOAD signs. After making some legal WIDE LOAD signs, business grew as more and more Heavy-Duty Drivers started buying them.

By keeping business in America, Ms. Carita SafeTruck supports local jobs which affects the local economy, maintains quality control, and builds a strong American community. This is difficult as more and more businesses outsource manufacturing offshore. Ms. Carita SafeTruck at times must source material from global sources, but the build and assembly occurs in our 20,000 square foot facility in Reno, NV and supports American families by doing so.

With nearly 80% of our products qualifying as MADE IN THE USA sourced from Global Materials, we continue to push that number to 100% by exploring and looking for opportunities to partner with other American businesses. Of those products, our Legacy Products such as our Truck Safety Flags, Banners, and Signs have been proudly Made in America since 1972.

Supporting Local Jobs

Our ever-expanding operation currently supports employees in Reno, NV with a few others working remotely in Arizona, California, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Texas. In the last 20 years, we’ve had to expand the Reno, NV facility multiple times to provide room for growth. When you purchase goods manufactured in the United States, you are literally investing in the livelihoods of American workers. Our employees are local Americans, who live, shop, and play in our local economies – contributing to the that economy through their wages and taxes. In contrast, purchasing products made abroad contributes to job loss in the United States and can undermine local and national economies.

Improving Quality Control

In addition to striving for excellence, American manufacturers generally must adhere to strict quality control standards, which ensure products are safe and reliable. Contrast to this, overseas products may not be subject to the same level of quality control and scrutiny, which often results in subpar products that do not meet consumer expectations. After all, the bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

We have been the industry leader in OVERSIZE products for the Heavy Haul Industry. When it comes to Over Dimensional banners, signs, and Safety Flags, we have the best quality in the business. We also have the widest variety of products to choose from for a specific application or region. Our skilled technicians use only the best materials and can also build customized products for those hard to fit applications. That’s what we do.

There are many companies that have tried to copy our products – none have been able to compete. Some of those companies even ship the production offshore. We set the industry standard over 50 years ago and no other line has come close.

Building Strong Communities

When American manufacturers thrive, it also leads to the growth of strong communities. Local businesses are an essential part of any community, and when these businesses are successful, they are able to invest and support local initiatives. This contributes to a sense of community and pride in the area, which is crucial for the well-being of residents.

For years, we have supported local non-profits and other community-based organizations via time and donations. Some of those organizations include the PAL football league, Tunnels to Towers, Wounded Warrior, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) college scholarship programs, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital – Oakland, and HOST for unhoused individuals.

Conclusion

We will continue supporting American Businesses as one because it supports American Families. Our families and yours all benefit from being Made in America. Moving forward, we are committed to doing everything we can to keep expanding our line with American Made products. Doing so supports local jobs, maintains quality, and builds strong communities.

Bigger. Stronger. Safer.
