This is how it all started for SafeTruck's founders - The ol' Oversize Load wood sign. Sick of paying tickets for illegal signs, our founders set out to make the very best and durable safety signs for heavy haulers. This particular sign is perfect for a pilot cars or escort vehicles as it is a 13.5" x 34" double sided OVERSIZE sign with 8" lettering made to meet the requirements in California. For these safety signs, we start with a premium grade 3/8" MDO (Medium Density Overlay) plywood and seal all of the edges with enamel. The printed surfaces are coated with a primer and then coated with a safety yellow enamel and printed with a black enamel. After that, we clear coat the sign to ensure a longer product life.
