MAY 2015 CONTEST WINNER
Congratulations to SafeTruck’s May 2015 Oversize Load Contest Winner – Kevin Otto of Delano, Minnesota!
Mr. Otto is part of family-owned Otto Transfer, Inc. located in Delano, MN. Established in 1946 as Otto Bros. Trucking, the Otto family hauled livestock and beer bottles. Today, with a fleet of 17 trucks, Otto Transfer is a full service trucking company equipped to haul commodities or one-of-a-kind freight all over the Midwest, USA and Canada. Otto Transfer specializes in over-dimensional loads and self-unloading tractors.
The winning haul was a local Metro Minneapolis move of a crate for a water filter destined for Spain. The crate was moved in three separate pieces at night and required a lead peace officer escort. Each haul weighed in at 18,000 pounds and were 98’ long, 16’ 6” wide and 13’ 4” tall. Because these were night runs, Mr. Otto used SafeTruck Reflective OSL Banners and Safety Flags purchased through Dahlke Trailer.
