DECEMBER CONTEST WINNER
Congratulations to Dave King of Hilltop Structures – SafeTruck’s December 2013 Oversize Load Winner! Hilltop Structures is a family owned and operated business, located in the hills of Dickson County in a small old mining town of Cumberland Furnace, outside Nashville, Tennessee. Hilltop structures build and deliver portable cabins, storage sheds, chicken coops and horse barns to clients in the greater Nashville area, as well as Dickson, Clarksville and Kentucky.
Mr. King entered pictures of two different log cabin hauls.
A 2000 Freightliner single axle tractor was used to haul the big cabin in the picture above. The log cabin was 16’ x 46’, 14’ tall and weighed approximately 6 tons. It was picked up in Cumberland Furnace, TN and hauled to Hardy, AR. Two pilot cars were used for this 5 hour haul that logged 292 miles. Mesh OSL Banners, Red Jersey Staff Flags and Flag Holders by SafeTruck were used on the Freightliner and two pilot cars.
A 2002 Ford F-350 flatbed pick-up was used to haul the smaller cabin. It was a 14’ x 36’ finished-out log cabin, 14’ tall and approximately 5 tons. It was also picked up in Cumberland Furnace, TN and was hauled to Lobelville, TN. Only one pilot car was used for this short haul (1 hour/53 miles). Both the Ford F-350 and pilot car used SafeTruck Mesh OSL Banners, Red Jersey Staff Flags and Flag Holders. Hilltop Structures purchases all their SafeTruck products from Pine Hill Manufacturing.
