Congratulations to Alison Cardwell…. July’s 2016 SafeTruck Oversize Load Contest Winner!
Our July winner is Alison Cardwell of Morgantown, Kentucky. Ms. Cardwell submitted an image of Morgantown Freight trucks hauling steel bridge girders.
They hauled the girders from Kentucky to Chicago, IL. The DIMS on these hauls are 125’ (L) x 9’ 10” (W) x 13’ 6″ (H) and each haul weighed 85,000 pounds! Ms. Cardwell said that Morgantown Freight Trucks use mesh OSL banners on the front of the trucks. That most of their steer dolly trailers have mounted signs – vinyl banners mounted to wood. Some are mesh signs riveted to our mud flaps. She mentioned that they use stick flags on the truck mirrors and on the rear of the dolly – they use the wire loop flags. On this particular haul they uses magnet flags down the center of the girder. She purchased the SafeTruck products from the Truck Pro in Bowling Green, KY.
